Sandy Creek Watch Post
Part of the ‘stop line’ against an invasion by sea, Sandy Creek Watch Post was one of many beach defence strong-points developed along the coastline north of Darwin. Built of concrete and steel, the remains of some of these watch posts can still be seen along Casuarina and Lee Point beaches, with the Sandy Creek example being the best preserved.
